Message for this week
The wisdom of small signs..
You might be thinking that I am a little late for the “message of this week”..but the message of this week is actually related to this whole new month and whenever you find this message know that it’s meant for you…
This month began with a series of small moments that caught my attention.
First, I noticed a tiny baby lizard. Small enough to be overlooked, yet somehow impossible to ignore. Reptiles have survived on Earth for millions of years because of their remarkable ability to adapt. In many spiritual traditions, lizards symbolize renewal, awareness, and the courage to shed what no longer serves us
So, the spiritual message it gives us is Growth often requires letting go of old patterns. If we look at it from a grounded lens it gives us a message that… Life changes constantly, and adaptability is one of our greatest strengths.
A few days later, while doing yoga and taking a slow walk on my terrace, I heard a crow calling repeatedly. And you might be thinking crows are common! NO, they are not in my area; we rarely see a crow and this crow was sitting right in front of me on the parapet wall completely unafraid even when I came closer to it.
Across different cultures, crows are seen as messengers, symbols of intelligence, observation, and transformation. Yet there is also a practical lesson hidden in their nature: they survive because they pay attention.
The spiritual message it conveys: Stay open to guidance and insight that may arrive in unexpected ways. You might think something is rare, impossible and cannot be achieved by you …but you never know what surprises might unfold next.
The grounded message: Awareness matters. The more present we are, the more clearly, we can respond to life.
Then came something even more unexpected. For days, the heat had been relentless. Temperatures climbed to nearly 49°C. It felt as though summer had settled in completely because yes, MAY and JUNE are the months of extreme heat in Northern India… And then, almost suddenly, everything changed.
That very evening, a weather alert warned of hailstorms and winds approaching 100 km/h. Within hours, dark clouds gathered, strong winds swept through, and rain transformed the landscape.
The spiritual message: Nothing is permanent, not discomfort, not challenges, and not even certainty itself. The wheel of fortune can turn any time… your moment, your time to shine can come any moment…
The grounded message: Conditions can change faster than we expect. Flexibility often serves us better than rigid expectations.
And then came meditation, the fourth incidence.
For a long time, whenever I opened my eyes after meditation, the world often appeared wrapped in a soft bluish tint. This week, however, I noticed something different. Green. Many spiritual traditions associate green with the heart; compassion, healing, connection, and openness. Whether it was a spiritual sign, a shift in perception, or simply a beautiful moment, it invited me to reflect on what I am carrying in my heart.
.
The spiritual message: Lead with compassion, both toward yourself and others… it’s time to focus on your heart. The more you pour into yourself, the greener, the more beautiful the world outside you would become.
The grounded message: moments of reflection help us notice subtle shifts within ourselves that often go unnoticed in daily life. Spend time with yourself, you need attention too!
As I look back on these experiences, a common thread emerges. The lizard teaches adaptation. The crow teaches awareness. The weather teaches impermanence. And meditation teaches presence.
Perhaps the lesson this week is not about signs themselves. Perhaps it is about paying attention.
Life rarely announces its wisdom with grand certainty. More often, it arrives through a small creature crossing our path, a bird calling from a rooftop, a sudden storm after unbearable heat, or a moment of stillness that changes the way we see the world.
May this week remind us to stay aware, stay adaptable, and remain open to wonder. Because sometimes the smallest moments carry the deepest lessons.
Wishing you a week filled with awareness, gratitude, and gentle reminders from the world around you.
