Message for this week
This time, my messages arrived through dreams....
A little happy birthday to me before I begin this week’s message… because this week carries my birthday!! and a big hug to all my fellow July babies…
I remind you all again these messages are not for me only this has something for you too because if you are a part of my Substack family we were meant to be!
Unlike the previous month, which brought lessons through real-life experiences, the beginning of this month has spoken to me through dreams. Whether dreams are divine messages, the subconscious mind processing emotions, or simply symbols waiting to be understood, I believe they are worth reflecting upon…. because if I didn’t feel my intuition guiding me that they mean something more I would not be writing them here.
These are the three dreams that I think carry something deep:
1. The White Mogra Flower
The first dream was simple. I saw a white Mogra (jasmine)flower.
Later that day, I remembered that it belonged to the Mogra plant I had bought during the previous monsoon. I had cared for it with great dedication. It bloomed for a while but eventually withered away despite my efforts… I was a little sad when I saw the plant died even though I did whatever I could to save it.
Spiritual Reflection of the dream:
In many spiritual traditions, white flowers symbolize purity, peace, devotion, and blessings. A Mogra flower especially carries the fragrance of simplicity and divine love. The glowing light represents spiritual illumination and since the plant was not inside a pot it symbolizes unrestricted growth.
In Indian traditions sweet fragrance, and white petals are auspicious signs of prosperity, new beginnings and abundance.
From a grounded lens, this dream wasn’t reminding me of what had died, but of what had once bloomed. Sometimes life tells us that no sincere effort is ever wasted. Even if something doesn’t last forever, its fragrance remains. You are entering a season of unbound development and freedom.
Maybe this month is asking me to trust that something beautiful can bloom again, even after disappointment.
2. The Family of Birds
The second dream was unlike anything I had experienced before. The setting of this dream was our old house. I was in my previous house, sitting on the bed…. A family of birds was trying to fly out through the door. There were two adult birds - one male and one female, with their three tiny black babies following them. The adult birds were yellow and orange in color and their bodies above the neck were black while, their babies had no sprinkle of any other color, they were completely black. They were flying in a complete straight-line side by side.
The wanted to fly out of the room through the door but the curtains covered the doorway, preventing them from leaving. There were five birds in total two adult and the rest three babies.
Then something unusual happened.
Two of the little black birds flew directly into my ears…one into each ear!! I could actually feel them entering my ears before the dream ended.
Spiritual Reflection:
Birds often symbolize freedom, messages, hope, and the soul.
The blocked doorway may represent opportunities that are present but temporarily hidden by obstacles rather than permanently closed.
The birds entering my ears feels especially symbolic.
Across many spiritual paths, ears represent listening…. not merely hearing sounds, but receiving wisdom, intuition, or guidance.
Perhaps the dream is reminding me that before I move forward, I first need to listen more carefully, to my intuition, to God, to life, or to lessons that I might otherwise overlook.
The ORIOLE bird family symbolizes an upcoming period of immense joy, creativity, and the sweet rewards of hard work. Because the incubation period for oriole eggs is around 14 days, some dream traditions interpret this as a sign that happy, transformative changes will manifest in your waking life within two weeks
3. Worship at an Unfinished Shiva Temple
Being a devotee of Lord Shiva, Mondays hold special significance for me, and I am also writing this article on the very same day I had this dream.
In my dream, I entered a Shiva temple that I had never visited before. It wasn’t fully finished. The floor was cemented, the walls looked raw, and the temple lacked decorative polish.
Yet the devotion inside it felt complete.
I carried my basket of puja essentials just as I do every day. I offered water, belpatra (Aegle marmelos leaf), flowers, and performed aarti.
One detail stood out.
A brilliant white marble Nandi there, looking completely new. I asked the women present whether the Nandi had recently been installed, and they smiled and replied, “Yes.”
The dream ended there.
Spiritual Reflection:
An unfinished temple may symbolize that our spiritual journey is always under construction. We often wait until everything in life feels perfect before believing we are ready.
The temple wasn’t perfect, yet worship still happened.
The newly installed white Nandi carries its own symbolism. Nandi represents patience, faith, devotion, and silent waiting. Before every darshan of Lord Shiva, devotees first bow to Nandi; because Nandi is the dedicated devotee and vehicle of Lord Shiva.
Just as devotees whisper their wishes into Nandi’s ear, seeing him…. especially freshly installed suggests that deepest desires or struggles may be close to a resolution.
As the guardian of Mount Kailash, a newly placed Nandi acts as a shield against negative energies and obstacles. This dream may be a reminder to stay patient and trust the timing of life.
Now What These Dreams Mean?
I don’t know when and how these messages will come true in my life. When I look at all dreams together, there is one message I choose to carry into my month, it is this:
Continue walking with faith you will bloom again after setbacks. Listen carefully, Be patient. And remember that even unfinished journeys can be sacred.
